Hi, I found this website in my index and was wondering if someone could possibly answer a question for me...if I've reached the wrong group I apologize, I thought someone here would be knowledgeable.
The question is: Is Phyllo dough and puff pastry the same thing? I bought what I thought was puff pastry but in reality it was Phyllo dough. I was watching Food Network and they were using puff pastry and it seemed rather thick. Then I was watching Emeril today and he was working with Phyllo dough and it appeared very thin. Did I not buy puff pastry? I would like to purchase some, do you believe you can obtain it at a 'regular' grocery store and what section would it be in? It is sold frozen? What would be a good brand name of puff pastry to look for and where would I find it? Thank you so much in advance for any help in this matter. AmericanCanadian.
